A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

A game about a lot of things, but mainly tea.

Tails & Tea is a cozy single-player 3D game that follows a novice tea maker named Jill in her journey to open a tea shop and serve the lively customers of her new town. Through foraging for ingredients, bruising new tea blends, and interacting with customers, Jill works to complete her magical recipe book towards her goal of meeting another tea-loving jackalope just like her. Which of course is how she came up with the perfect name for a tea shop: Flaggerdoot’s, after a herd of jackalopes.

Open-World Foraging

Venture outside the tea shop into the Wilderness to forage for ingredients ranging from the classic tea leaves and bergamot to chai ingredients like cardamom and cloves. With a book full of tasty tea recipes made up of fifteen unique ingredients, there is always more foraging to be done!

In-Depth Customer Storylines

Each of the customers have their own personal storyline and problem that can only be solved by the perfect cup of tea. Get to know these colourful characters through serving them in your very own tea shop!

Unique Bruising Puzzles

Solve a unique puzzle type themed around bruising, a crucial step in the tea making process that turns tea leaves and other ingredients into the steepable blends you know and love.

With fifteen unique tea recipes inspired by real-life tea blends and eight customers full of personality, Tails & Tea provides a cozy and relaxing experience and pairs perfectly with a cup of tea.

I played Tails and Tea for a couple of hours this morning and I really enjoyed the experience!

+The character design is excellent, they all seem very distinctive and most importantly very cute!

+The story and conversations is the best part of the game. I found myself wanting to learn more about the characters and their backstories.

+The music is excellent, the tunes get stuck in your head. They do start to get repetitive at some point.

+I like the tea bruising mechanics, very original and can be challenging in a good way.

-The ingredient gathering gets tedious after a while, same with the steeping mechanism. The progression is too slow, I wish I could start skipping those sections to get to the conversations faster.

*Instead of having a menu at the bottom in the house or the tea party garden, let us click on the items directly in the 3d environment, it's all there!

*Add settings to change the camera in the open world section, it was too top down for me.

*Add settings to change volume. I feel like this is the type of game that would be enjoyable to play in the background while watching a movie or something. It would be useful to be able to turn the volume down.

I look forward to finishing the game and wish you luck in the future development of the game!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! We're going to be revamping the foraging mechanics in future versions and doing more work on the overall user experience (including camera). We hope you follow along for the later updates :)

I played for about an hour, what a wonderful piece of work!
I was very interested in the story with the introduction of the OP complete only with very cute illustrations, and I was even more astonished by the elaborate part where you complete the blend by yourself.

The more I played, the more I could feel the care and attention to detail that went into the creation of this work, which was very nice.
I really wanted to play through to the end, but for some reason a bug prevented me from serving tea to the second guest at the Wednesday tea party, making progress impossible.
After a few tries, I was able to get through it with a customer who ordered milk only, but it happened again the next week, so I will wait until the bug is fixed. (I played it on a Saturday, so sorry if maybe it's already fixed)
Other times, orders were Milk & Milk, or names were displayed incorrectly during conversations.

I really like the rich and polite atmosphere of this work, so I want to play until the ending!

Thank you for playing and for your amazing feedback! We've fixed the bug you encountered and hope that you can continue from where you left off. We've added an instructional infographic in the description to make sure you're able to transfer save files. Let us know if you have any more feedback for us. Happy steeping!

Thanks for allowing me to proceed with Wednesday's event!
I have now reached community level 13.
Starting with Baldit's special recipe, I'm having a lot of fun making special recipes for various characters, and each character is getting deeper into the game at that time.
Especially the Oswald and Buster brothers event made me happy. I love it!
In the beginning it was a bit of a hassle to go get the ingredients every day, but after the Wednesday event, it became less of a hassle.
Also, I used to feel that it takes a long time to boil water to make tea, but for some reason, around community level 10, I started to feel that time as rich time. It's strange.

One more thing,  the first event in Oswald (probably the event where you drink Suzuru's chai and proceed), Suzuru's chai was requested before Suzuru's special recipe was opened yet.
The same conversation event occurred the following week, and at that time Suzuru's chai was opened, so this time I was able to proceed with the event.
After serving tea to all the customers on store day, I really like to look at who is sitting with who!

I have maxed out our community level and finally completed the game!
I played almost every day and had such a rich time, very relaxing but intense. Thank you Jill and her friends!
I had a hard time making Timothy's tea and ran out of ingredients! (I just didn't succeed because I made a mistake in translating the working method.)
I am pretty good at reasoning problems, but maybe you could show more hints for those who are not good at them if they keep failing!
Also, after playing the game for a long time, I noticed that different characters have their own order favorites, which is great.
Baldit, who loves honey, is adorable!
Thank you for your wonderful worldview work, meow!

Thank you for playing, we're so glad you enjoyed our game! We're taking your feedback into account as we continue to work on the game, and hope you'll stick around to see where we end up!

Wow! Very good news for me that development will continue!  Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I will gladly cooperate with you!

Unfortunately when I download to play, the game is in a resolution size that overflows my screens and I'm not able to click continue. I don't know if I'm missing it but there doesn't seem to be a way for me to resize the window, so I'm not able to play. Looks cute!

It may not be a radical solution, but it is useful in many applications to be able to switch between full-screen and windowed mode by pressing Alt + Enter! (Of course, it might be best if it could be solved on the application side of the game.)

Hi! We've updated this and added set resolution options, so we think this should work for you now. Let us know! Thanks for playing :)
